| Rotation is 90° in some sources, for greater differentiation from regular⟨æ⟩. |
TheUralic Phonetic Alphabet makes regular use of 180°-rotation to denote a reduced form of a given sound; where this results inhomoglyphy, the character is rotated 90° anticlockwise instead. Both versions are found forᴂ, as 180°-rotation is only minimally distinctive from⟨ᴔ⟩ and from unrotated⟨æ⟩.[1]
