  • дай боже(daj bože) is generally used when someone is cheering up someone else and is trying to manifest that a certain desired thing happens, whereasкед Бог да(ked Boh da) may be used of oneself. Following Serbo-Croatian tradition, it may also be used just before drinking strong alcohol or liquor.
