    Length marking is short⟨ă⟩, default⟨a⟩, half-long⟨aˑ⟩, long⟨aː⟩, over-long⟨aːː⟩.
    With a consonant, may be used to indicate atap: e.g.⟨ɢ̆ʡ̆ʎ̆ʟ̆n̆⟩.
  2. (UPA) Short vowel (e.g.ă) or consonant (e.g.t̆ ); cf. superscripting for extra-shortᵃ,ᵗ.
