Zsombor Gruber (born 7 September 2004) is a Hungarian internationalfootballer who plays as aforward forNemzeti Bajnokság I clubFerencvárosi TC[1] and theHungary national team.[2]
On 9 February 2024, he was loaned toZalaegerszegi TE.[3]
On 14 February 2025, he was loaned toMTK Budapest FC.[4][5] He made 18 appearances and scored two goals in the2024–25 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season. On 1 March 2025, he scored a goal in a 5–1 victory overÚjpest FC at theSzusza Ferenc Stadion.[6] On 17 May 2025, he scored a goal in a 2–1 defeat fromDiósgyőri VTK at theDiósgyőri Stadion.[7] All in all, he made nine league appearances in MTK and scored two goals. He suffered a thigh injury while playing for MTK and he had to ret for five weeks.[8]
On 1 July 2025, he came back from loan to Ferencváros. Thanks to his performance at MTK, Robbie Keane added him to the team playing preparing for the Champions League qualifiers.[9] On 2 August 2025, he scored his first goal for Ferencváros in a 3–0 victory over newly-promotedKazincbarcikai SC in the2025–26 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season.[10][11][12]
On 9 August 2025, he scored twice in a 4–1 victory overNyíregyháza Spartacus FC in the2025–26 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season.[13]
He was first called up forHungary in 2024 against theNetherlands andGermany in the2024–25 UEFA Nations League A season.[14] In an interview withNemzeti Sport, he said that: "I still can't believe it".[15] He debuted in the national team on 19 November 2024 in a 1–1 draw againstGermany at thePuskás Aréna in the2024–25 UEFA Nations League A match.[16]
He scored his first goal in a 2–0 victory overArmenia in the2026 FIFA World Cup qualification match at the Puskás Aréna on 11 October 2025.[17][18][19]
