Zonguldak Kömürspor is a Turkish professionalfootball club based inZonguldak. The club is also known asKara Elmas (BlackDiamond), referring tocoal mining.
Demir Madencilik Dilaverspor, founded in 1986, was renamed asZonguldak Kömürspor on May 18, 2011. The club colors were also changed from red-white to red-navy.
Zonguldak Kömürspor promoted to theTFF Third League in the 2013–14 season. Kömürspor finished on top of Group 10 of theTurkish Regional Amateur League. They won 2–0 in the play-off againstZara Belediyespor and earned promotion. In the 2015–16 season the Zonguldak side finished as 4th in Group 1 of the TFF Third League and qualified for promotion play-offs. After eliminatingTire 1922 4–1 on aggregate in the semi-final, the club from theBlack Sea Region facedKızılcabölükspor in the play-off final. A 2–1 win secured the club a promotion to theTFF Second League.
