Zoé Alejandro Robledo Aburto (born 9 January 1979) is a Mexican politician affiliated with theNational Regeneration Movement (Morena).
Robledo Aburto was born inTuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, in 1979.[1] He earned a first degree in political science from theAutonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and a masters in law from theNational Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).[2]
In the2012 general election he was elected to theSenate for the state ofChiapas on theParty of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) ticket,[1] and in the2018 general election he was elected to theChamber of Deputies to represent thesixth district of Chiapas for Morena.[3]
He was appointedUndersecretary of the Interior in December 2018. On 22 May 2019 PresidentAndrés Manuel López Obrador named him director of theMexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), after the resignation ofGermán Martínez Cázares.[4]
On 7 June 2020, it was reported that Robledo Aburto hadcontracted COVID-19.[5]
President-electClaudia Sheinbaum announced on 25 July 2024 that Robledo would continue as director of the IMSS under her administration.[2]
