Unincorporated community in the American state of Missouri

Zion is anunincorporated community inCentral Township in southernMadison County,Missouri, United States.[1] It is located onU.S. Route 67, approximately ten miles south ofFredericktown. The community is situated on the banks ofTwelve Mile Creek.[2]

A post office called Zion was in operation from 1880 until 1964.[3] The community took its name from a nearby church of the same name, which in turn was named afterMount Zion in West Asia.[4]
