Zhu Jiner (Chinese:朱锦尔;pinyin:Zhū Jǐn'ěr; born 16 November 2002) is a Chinesechess grandmaster.[1]

Biography

In 2016, she won theWorld Youth Chess Championship in the G14 age category.[2] In 2017, she placed third in the Women's World Chess Championship Asian Zone 3.5 tournament afterZhai Mo andNi Shiqun, which qualified her for theWomen's World Chess Championship 2018 (November).[3] That same year, she was awarded the FIDEWoman International Master (WIM) title. In 2018, Zhu Jiner won the bronze medal at the Women's China Rapid Chess Championship.[4]

She participated in the first three legs of theFIDE Women's Grand Prix 2022–23. InAstana, the first leg, she finished third with a score of 6.5/11,[5] inMunich she tied for fifth place with a score of 5.5/11 and inNew Delhi, she tied for first place withAleksandra Goryachkina andBibisara Assaubayeva with a score of 6/9.[6] Her New Delhi performance earned her her last GM norm, and she was awarded the title in August 2023.[1]

Zhu currently attends theShanghai University of Finance and Economics.[7]
