Zampani railway station (station code:ZPI[1]) is anIndian Railway station, located inZampani ofGuntur district inAndhra Pradesh.[2][3] It is situated on theTenali–Repalle branch line and is administered byGuntur railway division ofSouth Coast Railway zone.[4] It is classified as anF-category station in terms of revenue and passenger footfalls.[4]: 11 

History

The Tenali–Repalle branch line, constructed byMadras and Southern Mahratta Railway, was opened in 1916.[5][6]

Structure and amenities

The station has roof topsolar panels installed by the Indian railways, along with various railway stations and service buildings in the country, as a part of sourcing 500MWsolar energy.[7][8]
