Zachary David (born 14 August 2007) is a Filipinoracing driver who competes inSuper Formula Lights forB-Max and part-time in theFormula Regional European Championship for CL Motorsport.
David lived inMalta and competed under a Maltese racing licence.[1]
David's karting career began in the Philippines as a child. He continued karting in the Philippines and Asia while taking numerous national and regional championships.[2][3] David began karting in Europe in 2019, taking part in theWSK Euro Series andWSK Super Master Series where he finished in 35th and 56th, respectively. He made the jump up to OKJ category later that year, and finished 12th in theKarting Academy Trophy.[4][5]
In 2020, David continued karting in both Europe and Asia, where he managed to finish eight in the FIA Karting Trophy and improved to 32nd in WSK Euro OK Junior. David began karting in Europe full time in 2021, finishing theWSK Final Cup in ninth and the South Garda Winter Cup in seventh.[4][5]
In 2022, David became a member of theSauber Karting Team.[6]
David made his single seater debut during theADAC Formula 4 Championship withUS Racing during theLausitzring round.[4] Later that year, he again participated with US Racing for theItalian F4 Championship in five races.[7]
In 2023, David competed in a full season ofItalian F4 andEuro 4, continuing with US Racing.[7] He finished the Italian F4 season in seventh, after acquiring 144 points and 4 podiums.[5][8]
David also competed in theFormula 4 UAE Championship withR-ace GP.[9] His first and only win of the season would come during Round 2, when he secured the victory atKuwait Motor Town.[10][11][2]
During the2023 Formula Winter Series, David participated in Round 4 atCircuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where he secured two dominating victories. He started the first race in 3rd, and worked his way up to win the race. During the second race, he started from pole position and maintain the lead until the end. He secured the fastest lap during both races.[12]
David made his Formula Regional debut during the2024 Formula Regional Middle East Championship withR-ace GP.[8][13] David finished the championship in 4th, while securing 4 podium finishes and a total of 112 points.
David also competed in the2024 Formula Regional European Championship, once again with R-ace.[14] During the season, David would be paired withTuukka Taponen andEnzo Deligny.[13][15] He would finish the season in 13th, after acquiring 58 points.
David continued his FRECA campaign in2025, moving to CL Motorsport.[16][17] However, he only competed in the championship part-time as he only made his debut during the fourth round at theHungaroring.[18]
Alongside hisFormula Regional campaign, David will also compete in the2025 Super Formula Lights withB-Max Racing Team.[19][20][21][22]
