TheYvette (French pronunciation:[ivɛt]) is a smallriver in southernÎle-de-France (France), left tributary of theOrge, which is a tributary of theSeine. It is 39.3 km (24.4 mi) long.[1] Its source is inLes Essarts-le-Roi, north ofRambouillet, in theYvelines department. Variouscommunes of theEssonnedépartement are named after it:Bures-sur-Yvette,Gif-sur-Yvette andVillebon-sur-Yvette.
