The5th constituency of Yvelines is a legislativeconstituency in the north-central Frenchdepartment ofYvelines.

Description

The 5th constituency ofYvelines is one of a group of constituencies within the department formed from the wealthy western suburbs ofParis. The seat includesMaisons-Laffitte to the west of theSeine andSartrouville on the eastern side.

Until 2017 the constituency consistently returned conservatives to theNational Assembly. Its former representativeJacques Myard first won the seat in 1993. In both2002 and2007 he won over 50% of the vote in the first round thus negating the need for a second round run off.
