The5th constituency of Yvelines is a legislativeconstituency in the north-central Frenchdepartment ofYvelines .
The 5th constituency ofYvelines is one of a group of constituencies within the department formed from the wealthy western suburbs ofParis . The seat includesMaisons-Laffitte to the west of theSeine andSartrouville on the eastern side.
Until 2017 the constituency consistently returned conservatives to theNational Assembly . Its former representativeJacques Myard first won the seat in 1993. In both2002 and2007 he won over 50% of the vote in the first round thus negating the need for a second round run off.
