Yukashar (alsoYukašar orYukhashr;Classical Mandaic:ࡉࡅࡊࡀࡔࡀࡓ,lit.'source of Radiance',Modern Mandaic pronunciation:[juˈχaʃar]) is anuthra (angel or guardian) in theWorld of Light.[1]

Yukashar is mentioned inQulasta prayers53,54,55,64,77, and343,[2] and inRight Ginza 4 asYukašar-Kana (kana means 'place' or 'source').[1]

In theMandaean Book of John, he is portrayed as the son ofPtahil.[3]
