Yttrocerite is a variety of the mineralfluorite with achemical formulaCaF2+(Y,Ce)F3. It is bluish red withisometric crystals and is named for theyttrium andcerium it contains. It has a Mohs hardness of 4–5. It has been found inSweden, several states in the United States andNorway.[1] It is not a mineral species approved byInternational Mineralogical Association.[2]
