TheYin Mountains, also known as theDaqing Mountains,[a] are amountain range in the EasternGobi Desert steppe of theInner Mongolian Autonomous Region ofChina.[1] TheYellow River borders the mountains to the south.[2][1]
The mountains are mainly composed of very oldmetamorphic rock.[1]
