Yes! (Hebrew:כן!,romanizedKen!) is a 2025drama film written and directed byNadav Lapid. It stars Ariel Bronz,Efrat Dor, Naama Preis,Aleksei Serebryakov andSharon Alexander.

The film had its world premiere at theDirectors' Fortnight section of the78th Cannes Film Festival on 22 May 2025, and will be theatrically released in France byLes Films du Losange on 17 September.

Premise

Following theOctober 7 attacks, Y., a pianist and comedian, is struggling to make his career a financial success, when he is commissioned to compose the music for a new national anthem.

In May 2023, it was announcedNadav Lapid had received financing from the Israel Film Fund for the film.[2] In June 2023,Arte France Cinéma boarded the project.[3] Lapid also attended the Marché du Film with the project in May 2024.[4]

Distribution

It had its world premiere at the78th Cannes Film Festival 22 May 2025, in theDirectors' Fortnight section.[5] It was screened on 20 July 2025 at the 2025New Horizons Film Festival inWrocław in the "Masters" section.[6]

It is scheduled for commercial release on 17 September 2025 in French theaters.[7]Kino Lorber will distribute in the United States.[8]

It will be screened in the 'Best of 2025' section of the20th Rome Film Festival in October 2025.[9]
