Yei (Yey, Jei, Je, Yei-Nan) is aPapuan language spoken along the upper reaches of theMaro River, in theMerauke,South Papua, Indonesia. The Upper and Lower Yey dialects are onlymutually intelligible with difficulty.

Distribution

According toEvans (2018), Yei is spoken in the villages of Po, Torai, Bupul, Tanas, and Kwel inElikobal District [id], in easternMerauke Regency, Indonesia.[2]
