Yehor Matsenko (Ukrainian:Єгор Геннадійович Маценко; born 23 January 2002) is a Ukrainian professionalfootballer who plays as aleft-back forI liga clubŚląsk Wrocław.
Born inLysianka,Cherkasy Oblast, Matsenko began his career in theDynamo Kyiv academy, before transferring toPoland at the age of 16, where he joined theUrsus Warsaw [pl], and later, theLegia Warsaw academies.[1]
In February 2022 he was signed by anotherEkstraklasa club,Śląsk Wrocław. After spending a year and a half with thereserves, Matsenko made his debut for the senior team in a 3–1 home league win overLech Poznań on 20 March 2023.[2]
On 6 March 2024, Matsenko was called up byRuslan Rotan to theUkraine Olympic football team preliminary squad in preparation for the2024 Summer Olympics.[3] On 25 March, he made his debut as a second-half substitute in a 2–0 loss toJapan.[4]
