Yatsuka, Shimane

Yatsuka (八束町,Yatsuka-chō) was atown located inYatsuka District,Shimane Prefecture,Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimatedpopulation of 4,535 and adensity of 132.87 persons per km2. The total area was 34.13 km2.

On March 31, 2005, Yatsuka, along with the towns ofKashima,Mihonoseki,Shimane,Shinji andTamayu, and the village ofYakumo (all fromYatsuka District), was merged into the expanded city ofMatsue.[1][2]
