TheWrocław City Council is the governing body ofWrocław. The council has 37 elected members^[3] elected every five years in anelection bycity voters through asecret ballot. The election of City Council and the localhead of government,^[4] which takes place at the same time, is based onlegislation introduced on 20 June 2002.
