Wrentham (/ˈrɛntəm/) is ahamlet insouthern Alberta, Canada within theCounty of Warner No. 5.[2] It is located southeast of the intersection of theVeteran Memorial Highway (Highway 36) and the historicRed Coat Trail (Highway 61), approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of the Village ofStirling, 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of the Town ofTaber and 55 kilometres (34 mi) west of the Village ofForemost.
The hamlet was named by theCanadian Pacific Railway afterWrentham, a village inSuffolk,England.[3]
The hamlet is inCensus Division No. 2 and in the federal riding ofMedicine Hat—Cardston—Warner.
Wrentham recorded a population of 58 in the1991 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada.[1]
