TheWraysbury River is ananabranch of theRiver Colne to the west of London.
The river leaves the Colne atWest Drayton and runs under theM4 motorway then close toLongford when it passes under theM25 motorway. A branch then feeds theColne Brook by the Poyle Channel while the Wraysbury River runs parallel to the M25, through a local wildlife site called theLower Colne, then crossing back under the M25 by theWraysbury Reservoir. The Wraysbury then flows acrossStaines Moor and intoStaines and rejoins the River Colne in the town centre, shortly before it flows into theRiver Thames.[1]
The northern part of the river's course has been heavily modified to accommodate the M4 and M25 motorways.
