TheWorld Tourism rankings are compiled by theUnited NationsWorld Tourism Organization as part of theirWorld Tourism Barometer publication, which is released up to six times per year. It ranks destinations by the number of international visitor arrivals, by therevenue generated by inboundtourism, and by theexpenditure of outbound travelers.
In 2024, there were 1.45 billion international tourists, with a growth of 11.5% compared to 2023.[1] The top ten destinations were:[1]
