Women Wearing Shoulder Pads (Spanish:Mujeres con Hombreras) is aMexican adultstop-motion animated television series created by Gonzalo Cordova forCartoon Network's nighttime programming blockAdult Swim. It became the first Spanish-language series to air on the block on 17 August 2025. Following the four shorts from 2022 to 2024. In Mexico, it airs exclusively onHBO Max. It is set inEcuador.[1] At least 8 11-minute episodes have been made. Acompilation film version of the series was released on HBO Max on 29 September 2025. The film was also dubbed in English. CANAL+ was all episodes are released on September 30, 2025.[2]
In this show's fantasy world, guinea pigs, calledcuyes in Spanish, are the size of cattle. They also serve the same purpose,commonly grown for meat and used in "cuy-fights". But Spanish entrepreneur Marioneta Negocios wants to get rich by rebranding guinea pigs from a delectable delicacy to a cuddly companion. She is on a collision course with Doña Quispe, a businesswoman who runs the country's most famous restaurant, El Cuchillo (the knife), and a chain ofcuyes butcher shops, as a result of this PR campaign. The women's friends and relatives are swiftly drawn into this conflict.
