Wolfgang Groß (born 30 March 1954) is a Germancoxswain. He won a gold medal at the1974 World Rowing Championships inLucerne with the men's coxed four, with the rowersAndreas Schulz,Rüdiger Kunze, and twin brothersUllrich andWalter Dießner.[1] A year later, he came second with the same team at the1975 World Rowing Championships.[1][2] The coxed four rowers stayed together for the1976 Summer Olympics, but Groß was replaced as coxswain byJohannes Thomas. That team won Olympic silver at thecoxed four event.[3]
