Wilson David Morelo López (born 21 May 1987), is a Colombianfootballstriker who plays forCategoría Primera A clubÁguilas Doradas.[1][2][3]
Morelo started his career withBajo Cauca in the 2003Categoría Primera B, before joiningEnvigado in theCategoría Primera A for the2006 season. He then joinedMillonarios for the2007 season.
In December 2008, Morelo joinedAmérica de Cali.[4] He then joinedAtlético Huila for the2011 season.[5] For the2012 season, he joinedDeportes Tolima,[6] before joiningLa Equidad in the summer of the same year.[7]
On 12 December 2013, Morelo joinedLiga MX sideMonterrey. In July 2014, he returned to Colombia, joiningSanta Fe on loan[8] Santa Fe beatIndependiente Medellín in the final of the2014 Categoría Primera A.[9] He also won the2015 Copa Sudamericana, helping Santa Fe beat Argentine clubHuracán on penalties.[10] He then joinedDorados de Sinaloa on loan for the2016 Clausura.[11]
On 8 June 2016, Morelo joinedPachuca on a permanent transfer.[12] On 5 January 2017, he joinedChilean Primera División clubEverton on loan.[13]
On 29 June 2017, he returned to Colombia and Santa Fe, joining the Bogotá team.[14][15]
On 25 January 2019, Morelo joined Argentine clubColón and signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.[16] The club paid $1 million USD for 75% of the player's rights.[17] On 5 June 2021, he and fellow ColombiaYéiler Góez, were crowned champions of the2021 Copa de la Liga.[18][19]
On 22 January 2022, Morelo rejoined Santa Fe for a third spell.[20] In July 2023, he joinedÁguilas Doradas looking for more playing time.[21] On 12 January 2024, he returned toCórdoba, joiningJaguares de Córdoba.[22] He scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory against his most recent club, Águilas Doradas.[23]
