Willie Edward McClendon (born September 13, 1957) is an American former professionalfootball player who was arunning back in theNational Football League (NFL). Selected in the1979 NFL draft, he played for theChicago Bears from 1979 to 1982.[1] He is the father of former Bearswide receiver and current wide receivers coach for theTampa Bay Buccaneers,Bryan McClendon. Both father and son attended theUniversity of Georgia.
McClendon was elected to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and was inducted in February 2015.[2]
