Willie Armstead (born April 10, 1952) is a formerslotback andwide receiver who played seven seasons in theCanadian Football League (CFL) for theCalgary Stampeders.
He is a native ofNewport News,Virginia, a 1971 graduate ofNewport News High School and a 1975 graduate of theUniversity of Utah. He was named to the All-star team in 1978, 1979[1] and 1982.[2]
He never played in theNFL, but was drafted to theCleveland Browns in the 13th round of the1975 NFL draft,[3] and then signed as afree agent with theNew England Patriots in 1976.[4]
