William Russell Robinson (February 5, 1942 – June 9, 2020) was an American politician who served as a member of thePennsylvania House of Representatives from 1989 to 2002.

Early life and education

A native ofPittsburgh, Robinson is a 1960 graduate ofSchenley High School.[1] He earned a degree in political science fromOhio State University in 1964 and a master's degree in political science fromDuquesne University in 1972.[1]

Career

Robinson began his career as a member of thePittsburgh City Council.[2]

He was first elected to represent the19th legislative district in thePennsylvania House of Representatives in 1988.[1] He was defeated in the2002 Democratic primary byJake Wheatley, a staffer forPittsburgh City CouncilmanSala Udin, a Robinson rival.[3][4]

Death

Robinson died on June 9, 2020, in Pittsburgh.[5]
