William L. Ochsenwald is an American historian andEmeritus Professor ofHistory atVirginia Tech. He was awarded hisPhD from theUniversity of Chicago in 1971. Ochsenwald specializes in the history of theMiddle East, particularly theunification of Saudi Arabia anddissolution of the Ottoman Empire. Ochsenwald has also written onArab Muslims and theHistory of Palestine.[1][2]
He is a regular contributor toEncyclopædia Britannica.[3] Ochsenwald was interviewed for the 2006 documentary videoArmenian Revolt, which also featuresDavid Fromkin,Norman Stone, and others.[4]
