William David RichardsonFRSFLS (born 18 August 1951) has been Director of theUCL Wolfson Institute since 2012.[1]
He was educated at theRoyal Belfast Academical Institution, theUniversity of Manchester (BSc Physics, 1973) andKing's College London (PhD, 1978).[2] He was a Lecturer in Molecular Genetics atUniversity College London from 1985 to 1990 and has been Professor of Biology at theUCL Wolfson Institute since 1993.
He was made aFellow of the Royal Society in 2013. He is also a Fellow of theLinnean Society of London.
