Hi there! I made some suggested edits to the pageWalter W. Powell in mysandbox. I'm not making the edits directly because I might have a slight conflict of interest in editing this article, as I have taken a class taught by Prof. Powell. I am stunned to learn that we have no overarching article on the influence of popular culture. I have startedDraft:Influence of popular culture, with some examples drawn from other articles regarding smoking, race relations, acceptance of homosexuality, and forensic science. There are quite a few other potential directions, such as the shift from pro-war movies during World War II to anti-war movies in the Vietnam era, and the like.
