A climber and GPS hobbyist mechanical engineer professor published his own measurements on his blog and this source was used to overwrite the accepted published height of Mount Rainier on the article. This was an ongoing for a year or two. His finding is now published in a journal article and some people have already started to overwrite the height based on this source.
