I have been cleaning upList of cities in Oregon for a future FLC and noticed today that most of the 2020 numbers don't align with the actual numbers used by the U.S. Census Bureau. And it seems that most of those misaligned numbers are used in various city articles. Before I try and solicit help from an editor with a census script, would anyone be able to explain the discrepancy? Any help is appreciated, especially if someone has a convenient source for the incorporation years of each city.SounderBruce06:09, 25 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Examples? I downloaded the Excel sheet from the Census bureau, and the populations for Albany city, Amity city, Antelope city, Arlington city, and Ashland city, Oregon, all match what is in the table. –Jonesey95 (talk)15:33, 25 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Portland, Eugene, Salem, Gresham, Hillsboro, Bend, Beaverton, Medford, Springfield, and Corvallis all have a different number than the Census CSV.SounderBruce18:10, 25 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like those numbers may be from the ""April 1, 2020 Estimates Base" column rather than the "Population Estimate (as of July 1)". I couldn't tell you which one is better to use. –Jonesey95 (talk)20:34, 25 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
