I was wondering; should the other parameters ofTemplate:ANI-notice andTemplate:AN-notice be pointed out in the header? Specifically the|thread= parameter might be useful to make it more obvious to editors what the thread they are being notified of is called.45dogs (they/them)(talk page)23:30, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
{{Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Header}}, while ANI's is with{{/Header}}. I believe a separate template would need to be made for ANI.45dogs (they/them)(talk page)20:47, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Hello, all.
Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1205#Pattern of LLM edits on contentious topics contains an actual citation template with a relevant OCLC error. This is causing the archive to populate intoCategory:CS1 errors: OCLC, which is configured to ignore "/Archive#" subpages but not "/IncidentArchive#." Is there a way to stub out the category, so that we don't perpetually have a OCLC error floating around in the category? ~MatthewrbGet in touch ·Breadcrumbs07:04, 3 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
<nowiki> would make the most sense...@Voorts @Sdkb: Disagreeing with the revert atWikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents/Header, we've already had a lot of spurious reports atWP:ANI andWP:AN and this notice could really be helpful. Also open to changing the example to ~2025-12345-67 to be easier for the pattern-matching eye.ChaoticEnby (talk ·contribs)20:37, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This feels likeinstruction bloat to me. Experienced editors will all be familiar with temp accounts shortly. And while they might show up here more than the average spot, there's still no intrinsic connection — if they need further explanation then they need it in a more general spot.Sdkb talk20:46, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
