Welcome to theWikiProject New Jersey on the English Wikipedia! We are agroup dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to the State ofNew Jersey.

Goals

The project aims primarily to:
  • provide guidelines and recommendations for articles about and relating to the State of New Jersey
  • improve Wikipedia's coverage of New Jersey topics by creating, expanding, and maintaining such articles
  • serve as the central point of discussion for issues related to New Jersey on Wikipedia
  • maintain theportal

Discussion

Issues concerning New Jersey related articles and topics are discussed on themain talk page.

Assessment

Article assessment focuses on quantifying the quality of Wikipedia's New Jersey related articles. The resulting article ratings are used within the project to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work. This system will be used in the future to select officialA-Class articles.There are currently 39 articles that have not been assessed.

Cleanup

Article cleanup focuses on improving the overall quality of Wikipedia's New Jersey articles, and their compliance with the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia. The cleanup effort is meant to reduce the amount of unnecessary content and articles within the WikiProject New Jersey. It also aims to help in the progression of articles that require work to climb up the assessment scale. Articles in need of immediate attention (proposed deletions, AfDs, Good and Featured content reviews, requested moves, etc.) are listed asArticle Alerts. Articles that have been tagged for maintenance can be found in theCleanup listing.

Peer Review

There is apeer review page that users can use to nominate articles for which they wish to get feedback from other contributors so that they may become featured articles. Please do not nominate stubs or underdeveloped articles.
