Welcome toWikiProject Multi-sport events. Several Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage ofmulti-sport events and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, pleasejoin the project, inquire on thetalk page and see theto-do list below.

The WikiProject was established on October 8, 2010 havinggarnered support at theWikiProject Council. We are actively seeking participants right now; so if you're keen on our project why notsign up now!

We are still looking for coordinators to help us with this enormous project! If you would like to coordinate articles relating to a specific competition, please visit the talk pagehere.

• The main goal of this project is to create and maintain articles for every sport at every edition of every notable multi-sport event.

• This WikiProject covers all multi-sport event articles on Wikipedia, except for Olympic andParalympic articles. These include articles on theCommonwealth Games, thePan American Games and theAsian Beach Games, just to name a few. As there is already a standaloneOlympics WikiProject, articles on the Olympics — including the Paralympics and theYouth Olympics — are not covered by this WikiProject.

• Preliminary general guidelines. Feel free to join in and discuss the preliminary guidelines and suggest ways of improving them.

•  Asian Games task force – atask force, which covers articles related toAsian Games,Asian Winter Games andAsian Para Games.
