Theassessment department gives details of our Quality and Importance statistics. This project will use only FL, List, and Stub for articles. Quality Classes such as Image, Template, Portal, Disambiguation, Category and Project will only be included in order to conform with the predefinedWikipedia:Namespace.
Currently, this project uses theVersion 1.0 Editorial Team bot for article statistics. Therefore, it has become necessary for the project create aCustom mask for Quality class. TheCustom mask for WikiProject Lists limits class to FL, List, and Stub forarticles, and automatically changes incorrect class codes.

Incomplete lists
Because of Wikipedia's role as analmanac and agazetteer as well as anencyclopedia, it contains a large number oflists. Some lists, such as thelist of U.S. state birds, are complete and unlikely to change for a long time.
Other lists are missing entries and are calledincomplete lists. Incomplete lists should be immediately preceded by the{{Incomplete list}} template, orone of its topic-specific variations.

Dynamic lists
Some lists, such asList of numbers, are intentionally inexhaustive, as they are only meant to listnotable examples from a given category. These are known as "dynamic lists" and should be preceded by the{{Dynamic list}} template. Some dynamic lists require updates: for example, a list of notable alumni from a given university, orLists of plants may need to be updated as clades and classifications are debated by botanists.

It is our hope that other Wikipedians will pick up where we leave off, and add more items to the list, bringing it, if not to completion, at least to a mature state in which only minor updates are required as times change. Of course, it's not clear for all lists what should or shouldn't be on them, and completion may never be clear for these lists, but there should at least come a point where most representative and widely agreed upon entries are present.
