ThisWikiProject was formed to foster better articles aboutSport in Canada with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles as well as to do lists regarding Canadian sport pages.
This project covers the creation and editing of articles related toSport in Canada, including athletes, teams, sport venues and competitions. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on Canadian athletics in a fair and accurate manner.
The following is a list of other Wikiprojects which focus on a specific topic within the scope of Canada.
Some CanadianWikiProjects fall inactive or semi-active because they have a lack of interested editors or they simply have served their initial purpose of establishing an organizational structure, content assessment system, layout and navigational aids. These projects are retained for reference because they contain topic-specific considerations of the many site-wide policies and guidelines that apply to a subset of Canadian articles. SeeReviving WikiProjects. It may be best to direct questions toCanada's Wikiproject talk page.
This is a list of recognized content, updated weekly byJL-Bot (talk·contribs) (typically on Saturdays). There is no need to edit the list yourself. If an article is missing from the list, make sure it istagged orcategorized (e.g.Category:WikiProject Canadian sport articles) correctly and wait for the next update. SeeWP:RECOG for configuration options.

Then to go through each level of importance from top-down and confirm what we should focus on.
As there are thousands of articles here I want to make sure we don't get caught into micromanagement
Find or establish a list of applicable categories for this project and again start tagging articles as needed with these categories; Expand articles listed in each category (examples listed):
I have tagged all current Canadian NHL teams as High importance (half of them were already.) We should try to get all High importance articles up to GA or FA status. Other articles listed as High areStanley Cup,Grey Cup.
