WikiProject Awards is aWikiProject that coordinates efforts ofwikipedians to improve articles related toawards andprizes. Our members are encouraged to follow all existingpolicies and guidelines and help bring all related articles to aquality standard. An emphasis is made oncitingreliable sources. If you would like to help, pleasejoin the project.

This project is distinct fromWikiProject Orders, decorations, and medals, which deals withhonours bestowed by the government. The scope of this WikiProject is to encompass articles and lists of actual awards. For example, from awards and medals presented by theRoyal Society or theNobel Prize to theOscars orLaureus World Sports Awards. It also does not encompassBarnstars or other awards given to Wikipedians outside of article space, which are covered byWikiProject Wikipedia Awards.
