Goals

• Create, improve, and maintain Wikipedia's coverage of animation, including:

• Template:Animation

• Create guidelines for articles about Animation.
• Make decisions about individual animation articles
• Maintain theAnimation portal

Scope

The project covers all articles about animation. However, we acknowledge and are grateful for the work of other projects in the field, and will reserve the majority of our attention to that content which does not fall within the scope of other active projects.

Our broad of areas include:

• Articles on subjects everything related to animation.
• Articles onanimation software
• Articles onAnimation techniques which are notable to the field of animation
• Articles onAnimation studios andorganizations
• Animated films
• Animation people

Thisproject is formed byWikipedians to increase, expand, improve, and better organize articles related toAnimation. This page and its subpages contain our suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in this field. Some project goals are to help list and categorize animation related articles, develop quality standards for articles and build templates that help users browse the articles that fall under this project.

If you would like to help, please inquire on thetalk page and see theto-do list there. The scope also provides a place for Wikipedians to share information and resources regarding improvements to all animation-related articles. Here, editors can ask for help with certain articles and bring otherwise overlooked articles and problems, to the attention of other editors. If you are interested in joining the WikiProject, please feel free to add your name to the Participants list below, and find yourself an article to adopt.

WP Animation operates many working groups to help focus our specific areas of interest. Working groups are informal groups to gathered for collaborative work on the topic within the subject of animation.
