The "CN City" era of Cartoon Network began in June of 2004 and lasted until June of 2007, though the era would continue abroad until 2010. The era is named after and associated with, its animated bumpers made by Animal Logic and regular CN contributor Primal Screen. It succeeded the "Powerhouse" era and thus marked the closure of the Cartoon Cartoons branding.
These bumpers are shorts that show various Cartoon Network characters interacting together. They predominantly take place in a city (hence the name) comprised of various locales from the CN series, with a few original establishments. The bumpers, along with a new logo and announcer, were introduced with this montage.
What came afterwards varied depending on where you live. In the United States, the "Yes!" era gradually replaced it before being replaced in turn by the "Summer 2007" era, the "Fall" era, and finally, the "Noods" era. In Latin America, which saw the longest run of "CN City", The "Noods" bumpers would be imported to create the "Toonix" era. In Europe, the "Arrow" era would be adopted. In Asia and Oceania, a "New Wave" of bumpers would begin. All of these would eventually converge into the "CHECK IT" era of bumpers which continues to this very day.
About eleven years after the bumpers stopped airing, the city was featured as the setting of the OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes episode "Crossover Nexus", in which K.O., Garnet, Ben, and Raven join forces to save the city from a supervillain bent on eradicating heroes, with several other CN characters new and old (even a few from CN Latin America productions) making cameos. The show's grand finale "Thank You for Watching the Show" would see a brief return to the setting to squeeze in a few more cameos.
As that brief comeback indicates, this particular era of bumpers proved quite popular with fans due to the crossover premise and unique setting and style, leading to many re-circulation efforts. YouTube compilations are plentiful, this fan-site serves as an in-progress archive of various bumpers, and the Lost Media Wiki is working to recover several bumpers from this and other CN eras. Eventually, the director of these bumpers would release HD masters of most of these bumpers on Vimeo.

The character designer for a particularly stylized cartoon is drawing a woman. For whatever reason, the designer wants her to look more *ahem* "mature" than the average female in this work. But the cartoonist won't be giving this character big or even medium-sized breasts. Often this isn’t possible because large breasts and an hourglass figure aren't considered to be family-oriented and this cartoon is in the Animation Age Ghetto, where big breasts can't get past Network Standards and Practices. Or maybe it's a deliberate stylistic decision: not all adult women have large breasts after all.
Either way, if you aren't using big breasts, how do you make your older character look female? Narrow her waist, shoulders, and enlarge her hips. A lot.
This animated woman will usually have a small bustline, a very narrow waist, narrow shoulders, and very wide hips often accompanied by large buttocks. Regardless of the width of the character's waist and hips, it's important that her waist look exaggeratedly small relative to her hips. The end result should be an exaggerated pear-shaped figure.
Named after animator Butch Hartman, whose cartoons often make use of this trope, though it is arguably better associated with other artists such as Genndy Tartakovsky or character designer Stephen Silver. Really, Hartman became the Trope Namer due to the alliteration.— Precedingunsigned comment added by161.29.246.205 (talk)07:54, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Đ==''Kolbrin'' text or texts==There appears to be significant interest in this text, whether it is a valid text or a fraudulent one. Via Google, there were over 100,000 hits when searching forKolbrin, and over 17,000 hits when clicking on its Videos link. Searching on YouTube brought 11,800 results. One video in another language had 256K views in only 5 months ("LA BIBLIA DE KOLBRIN, el libro que cambia POR COMPLETO la historia de la humanidad", translated by Google Translate as "THE KOLBRIN BIBLE, the book that completely changes the history of humanity"). Whether it ought to be called a "bible" or not is one issue, which is why I suggest the article be called "Kolbrin text" or something better. I have made over 1,000 edits on Wikipedia in the past decade, but I don't have the wherewithal to create an article, and look to my betters to do justice to the topic, where others may have failed. See next.
Edit: There are at least three English "editions" out that purport to contain various texts, two of a printed title and one e-book version (Kindle). On Amazon.com it has star ratings for the 3 editions: 4.8./5 (Hardcover, 14 reviews), 4.5/5 (Paperback, 46 reviews), and 4.5/5 (Kindle, 36 reviews). It has a 4.1/5 star review on GoodReads. I also found a PDF, though I don't know where that came from. Skimming part of the PDF, I didn't get a sense of where these text came from, their provenance, or whether any actual texts of these still exist. Its explanation of the destruction of "old books" in the early 1900s and/or later made sense; such has happened even to incredibly important, famous, extant manuscripts.
Note that a RationalWiki article about the topic appears to beway out of date, missing these book versions which came out as early as 2016, and is of course a biased article. I believe Wikipedia can do better.
The books found so far – purporting to be of these texts – are as follows:

I am interested in the history of cake carriers. There are different forms and materials, such as aluminum, chrome, plastic. Locking and not locking. I have an aluminum carrier with a lever linkage system that engages three locks around the junction of top and base when one lever is moved to the lock position. When was this invented? Who invented it? What years was it made, and by which companies? Other metal locking cake carriers use a system that has several locks around the base, each of which is locked individually. Some look like hinged snapping closures, others are levers which engage a flange. Some lock by method of a wire bail (or two) which go over the top of the cover. No idea what category this would fall under. Cooking gear, somewhere?

It is an what-if scenario, created by people on the Internet. Sometimes called 'West Slavia', Zapadoslavia is afederation of states, consisting ofCzechoslovakia and also parts of theGerman Empire, mainlySilesia andLusatia (however different versions exist, for example withPoland). Sometimes, there are different versions how the federation or union of Zapadoslavia would have been created, but most suggest because of multiple events happening differently in thePolish–Soviet War. There is so far no clear description of Zapadoslavia in a whole and it can get pretty confusing, but also the whole concept of this 'country' is really intriguing. So it would be nice to have some clarity. Thanks already in advance! Source:

I'm mostly interested in seeing an article about the Fresno Nightcrawler folklore/cryptid phenomena, as I've been attempting to do research on the subject, only to come up short on reputable sources. There's various articles on online publications, but staggeringly few cite their sources well, making it difficult to tell what is reputable. I know there are people smarter and more experienced than myself who could find scholarly or reputable sources on the subject, so I submit my request for that reason. Here's a selection of articles I've found, which approaches a bare-bones start:[60][61][62][63][64] These all seem to mention or gesture at the same claims, but I can't for the life of me figure out the source for any of them. Ideally, a more experienced Wikipedia editor could sort through the mire and we could come out of this with an article that cites reputable and scientifically/historically accurate sources, like the other more famous cryptid articles on Wikipedia, the article on Bigfoot as an example, which goes into rigorous detail about the reputability of the original sightings, as well as the major figures involved in propagating the folklore. On 8 September 2017, to coincide with the marque's 70th anniversary year[7] at theGoodwood Revival, a new Griffith was revealed under the now resurrected TVR marque, featuring design work byGordon Murray. It features aCosworth modifiedFord Coyote 5.0-litreV8 engine[a] producing 500 bhp (507 PS; 373 kW), double wishbone suspension with adjustable coilover dampers, acarbon fibreground effect chassis.[8] It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in approximately 4 seconds, and can achieve a top speed in excess of 322 km/h (200 mph). The new Griffith retains the manual transmission as used in the previous TVR models, to keep the driving experience, but includesABS,power steering, andtraction control as standard, in order to handle the high power output and keep the car stable at high speeds. The extensive use of carbon fibre helps save weight, and as a result, it weighs less than 1,250 kg (2,756 lb), with a 50:50weight distribution achieved through the Griffith's architecture of aluminium and carbon fibre components, which improves handling. Design elements, such as large front air intakes, front splitter, active spoiler and rear integrated diffuser help in increasing aero dynamics. The car's interior follows the driving focused theme as well. Air conditioning, leather interior trim, and multimedia system come as standard as well. The Griffith was expected to start production in 2019, with an initial run of 500 Launch Edition (LE) cars and a price tag of £89,995.[9] In November of 2021, EVO magazine reported that the new Griffith was yet to enter production and deliveries of completed vehicles were not expected until at least the end of 2023. EVO cited the COVID 19 pandemic, funding problems and damage to production facilities had caused development of the vehicle to stall. A new partnership between TVR and Ensorcia Automotive, has provided additional funds for development of the new Griffith.[10]

Some inventors have publicly expressed their regret in something they created after seeing its negative impact and/or misuse. E.G. Robert Oppenheimer famously regretted his work on the atomic bomb, Wally Conron said breeding the first labradoodles is his biggest regret, Ethan Zuckerman has apologized for inventing pop-up ads, etc. etc.184.183.2.34 (talk)20:04, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Just to make sure, I'm putting in a request for a page for Blackburn Park. It's a park in Brookhaven, Georgia, and a lot of people go there. It hosts events too, like the Cherry Blossom Festival…or as I call it, Sakura Matsuri! I live across the street from it, and I know Blackburn very well. So, yeah, I think Blackburn Park should get a page. It's pretty well known ^_^
Thanks!
