Delete as not mentioned at the target. This is a real variant of Kirby'sParasol ability in the game, but it's too minor for a mention in any Wikipedia article.Glades12 (talk)10:41, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blanked byJacoblee628 with the edit summaryremoved the redirect; the korean wiki has its own page for this, i think it may be worth having one for it too in english, which is essentially aWP:REDYES argument for deletion. I personally have no opinion on the redirect at this time.signed,Rosguilltalk02:21, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep as a redirect with possibilities. While the Korean-language Wikipedia has two articles, the English-language Wikipedia discusses the historical building and the contemporary building in the same article. Therefore this is a useful redirect. :3F4U (they/it)02:58, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Keep – these sorts of shortcuts are beneficial IMO, if ideally for more important discussions. This redirect has been linked a few times. Not likely this particular shortcut format, but otherwise such a discussion will indeed take a while to find and link.0 page views most years is incorrect, by the way (that time period might be wrong).J947 †edits08:15, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion wasno consensus. There is, however, a preference for creating a set index/dab page, as that currently serves readers better than the search results.(non-admin closure) –Uanfala (talk)12:04, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Beltalowda translation of Ceres? What are people think, inserting transient recent fiction fandom into Wikipedia?!
User:EurekaLott, can you help me understand RfD-ers? Why keep a bad redirect that should never have been made? If it hadn’t been made, would you now create it to point to a DAB? Why not let the internal search engine do its job?SmokeyJoe (talk)04:44, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The title can plausibly refer to multiple people for whom we have articles. Why wouldn't we want to disambiguate (or to be more specific, set-indexify) it? -Eureka Lott05:21, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Because the internal search engine is a more robust solution. It picks up things people didn’t think of, and its results change as mainspace changes. With the redirect, the reader doesn’t get the internal search results.SmokeyJoe (talk)22:21, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - neither of the suggested targets are known by themononym "Sirish", thus any resulting disambiguation page will only containpartial title matches which the guideline instructs not to include. Dab pages are not search results, we have a search engine for that.Ivanvector (Talk/Edits)16:56, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Setindexify per above. At least in this scenario, Allu Sirish does not show up in the search drop-down and Sirish Gurung shows up far down the search results. A set index page is standard practice and a better bet.J947 †edits00:20, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Setindexify as given name exactly per J947. Verified that Allu Sirish does not show up in the search drop-down, although it is the topmost result in the search results! I don't know if this is a bug or a limitation of our search tool, but this is just to counterSmokeyJoe's claim that the search engine is doing its job. I use the Default (and recommended) search mode. I also tried the Strict, Redirect and Classic prefix search modes, with same results. Also tried the search after logging out, which I guess defaults to the Default search mode. Jay 💬07:31, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The drop down list should not be confused with search results. The drop down list is an auto completion tool with tolerances for misspellings. “Allu” doesn’t show up becuase it has no spelling similarity to “Sirish”. Creating redirects to cover over the clumsiness of the drop down suggestions doesn’t seem to me to be a good idea.SmokeyJoe (talk)11:34, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did compare them, but was not confused between them. Mine was a response to J947's observation which was about the search drop-down. Typically, when I expect to find something in the drop-down, and don't find it, I assume it won't be found in the search results. We can use the search results only on clicking the magnifier icon, and going to a new page, or if the basic search does not return any result. Jay 💬12:39, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
