These are just a few of the many useless redirects created byUser:WhatGuy[1]. I have already spoken to him about making these redirects,User talk:WhatGuy#Redirecting actors to TV shows and he gave me no answer, well he hardly responds on his talk page, anyway. For some reason if an actor does not have a page on Wikipedia, he redirects the link to where he sees the redlink in, Totally unaware ofWP:REDDEAL. One of his redirects were deleted because they served no purpose what so ever, SeeWikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2011 February 16#Katelyn Pacitto. These edits are very disruptive and misleading if you are only wikilinking if you see that the link is blue and not red and messes with the article count of this site. He's been on Wikipedia for two years now and is making edits like an anon or a newbie, something needs to done about this. Delete: Currently a "Carrot Top" search immediately redirects to the page about red hair. There is also a page on the comedian, "Carrot Top" that has the exact name (it'snot under his real name), but it is almost impossible to find. You might have to search yourself to see what I'm talking about, because I am probably not explaining it very well. Nonetheless the redirect needs to be deleted in my opinion. A search for "cheese" should always lead to the page about "cheese," or the disambiguation page. - Keep. The current situation is thatCarrot top redirects toRed hair#Modern-day discrimination, which has a note at the top of the section that ""Carrot top" redirects here. For other uses, seeCarrot top (disambiguation)." The article about the comedian is atCarrot Top (note capital "T"), which is linked from the disambiguation page. This is a standard way of organising things when the primary topic is covered in a section of a larger article. No pages link to theCarrot top redirect so that shows no evidence of confusion, nor are there any incorrect links toCarrot Top, so again there is no evidence of confusion. The page view statistics are unfortunately case insensitive so it is not possible to determine the relative number of hits, but combined they get a very significant number.Thryduulf (talk)09:36, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment. Normally I'd agree, but this is an essay and so it is plausible for it to have a shortcut. Personally I think that it should be kept if the essay is moved to Wikipedia space and deleted if there is no consensus for that move.
