Wizardman05:52, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]In what way would anyone looking for "facility" ever wind up typing "facile"?—Precedingunsigned comment added byLilac Soul (talk •contribs)23:04, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Please note thatFacile now redirects toeasy. According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictioanry easy an English synonym of the French word facile.[[1]] I am not sure if the current redirect is acceptable either but at the very least the deletion rational will have to be changed regarding the new redirect since it is no longer a spelling issue. --69.156.207.66 (talk)03:43, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. This doesn't belong as a redirect tofacility, andeasy isn't agreat match either. I doubt there's a clean, useful match at all, and since we're not Wiktionary we don't need a redirect just to supply a definition. Deleting it is better.—Gavia immer (talk)14:22, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Actually, both those targets would make sense in a dictionary since facile means "demonstrating facility" or "easily". But since we're not a dictionary, I agree that we shouldn't try to sort it out. Perhaps the best answer would be to overwrite the page with asoft redirect towikt:facile.Rossami(talk)07:59, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: That seems like a very reasonable solution if we decide not to delete the page.Lilac Soul(talk•contribs•count)08:38, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
