This is aninformation page.

The lead, or introduction, is the most important text in any article.

To get the lead right, generally:
DO:
Identify thesubject and why it'snotableearly.
Summarize themost important points of the article.
Providecontext if necessary.
Bold the subject'sfull and alternate names on first use.
Use discretion when puttingcitations in the lead.
Seestyle guidance for leads for more guidance.



DON'T:
Don'tpromote the subject or usepeacock terms.
Don'tclutter the first sentence withparenthetical material.
Don't include significant info that isnot covered later.
Don'treiteratedescriptive article titles awkwardly.
Don't putlinks in a bolded reiteration of the title.
Don't useteasers.
