Welcome toWikiProject LGBTQ+ studies! We're a group of editors who aim to improve Wikipedia's coverage oflesbian,gay,bisexual,transgender, andqueer (LGBTQ+) topics, includingqueer studies. WP:LGBTQ+ brings together Wikipedians of all sexual orientations, gender identities, geographic locations, and personal backgrounds to collaborate on expanding and improving LGBTQ+ content across Wikipedia.
The scope of WP:LGBTQ+ includes:
Identifying and categorizing LGBTQ+ articles on Wikipedia
Developing and applying standards for assessing LGBTQ+ articles
Improving existing LGBTQ+ articles and ensuring they are in-line with Wikipedia's standards and policies
Identifying notable LGBTQ+ topics not yet included in Wikipedia and creating articles for them
Identifying and developing standardized tables, templates and categorization schemes for LGBTQ+ articles
Identifying potential material that may be transwikied — (i.e. collect information for possible high-quality LGBTQ+ textbooks forWikibooks)
Joining the discussion atWT:LGBTQ+ is a great way to get started. Ask questions, suggest articles for creation or improvement, and connect with other WP:LGBTQ+ participants. Anyone with an interest in improving LGBTQ+ content on Wikipedia is free to participate.
ForDiscord users, the channel#wplgbt exists on theWikipedia:Discord community server as a place to facilitate real-time discussion and conversation.

Anyone with a Wikipedia user account—regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity—is free to participate in the WikiProject. You can sign up at theparticipants list, but that is not a requirement to start contributing.

ThePerson Task Force is a working group dedicated to ensuring quality and coverage of biography articles of LGBTQ persons.
