Wiedikon is a district in theSwiss city ofZurich. It corresponds toDistrict number 3 and comprises the neighborhoods ofAlt-Wiedikon,Sihlfeld andFriesenberg.
Wiedikon was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zurich in 1893.
The municipality is located on theA3 motorway.Zürich Wiedikon railway station is a stop of theZürich S-Bahn on the linesS2,S8 andS21. The head office ofSihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU) is located in Wiedikon.
