The bus station was opened on 29 November 2008 to serve the newWestfield London shopping centre. The station has been built around theGrade II listedDimco Buildings, originally the power station for theCentral London Railway, which date from 1898.[1][2]

The bus station is 100 metres away fromWood Lane tube station on theCircle andHammersmith & City lines.
