Thewestern dwarf squirrel (Microsciurus mimulus) is a smalltree squirrel in the genusMicrosciurus andtribeSciurini found inColombia,Ecuador, andPanama.
All of thesubspecies ofM. mimulus have been recognized as distinctspecies in recentstudies, although this is not yet universally accepted.[3] The table below lists the three subspecies ofMicrosciurus mimulus, along with any synonyms associated with each subspecies:[2]
